Headstones transferred from Devonshire Street Cemetery to Bunnerong Cemetery in 1902.
The following images are from the Mr. A.G. Foster Devonshire Street Cemetery photographic collection, which is held by the Mitchell Library, State Library of New South Wales. According to the State Library of NSW these images are out of copyright as they were created before 1955.
These headstones were transferred to the purpose built Bunnerong Cemetery in 1902 to make way for the construction of Central Railway Station. The headstones have survived the test of time and now form part of the 746 surviving headstones on display in the Pioneer Memorial Park section of Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park, off Bunnerong Road, Matraville.
