Pioneer Memorial Park
The following persons, and their stories, are some of the 746 headstones that are still standing at Botany Pioneer Memorial Park, a part of Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park. Some of these people are well known, but others, less so, but still, no less significant, as you will see when you read of their life in the early to later parts of the 19th Century.
Persons marked with an ‘*’ includes an image of the headstone from the Mr. & Mrs. A.G. Foster photographic collection of Devonshire Street Cemetery held by Mitchell Library, State Library of NSW.
